Physics I

  • This class is taught as a TEAL class, which is Technology Enabled Active Learning. TEAL classes are taught by grouping students into tables of 9 and groups of 3. Each group has its own computer. There is no recitation.
  • Some people like TEAL, some people don't. A lot of it depends on the group you get.
  • Mastering Physics is an online program that is used with TEAL and 8.01L. It's annoying, especially because it's very picky about notation. Even if your answer is correct, the computer may dock points because it's not the exact answer it was looking for.
