Every week, FruitComm will buy $20 worth of fruit and cut and serve it for hall for the purpose of fighting scurvy! As of 2013, fruit bowl announcement emails include tidbit of fanfic on the adventures of fruit and the battle against the dastardly Scurvy God.

In 2017, for the first time in recorded history, Fruit Bowl featured actual fruit bowling: pizens bowled a pomegranate into potato pieces (potatoes aren't fruit, but that's okay). Other themes include:
- Fruitbowl (Except there's no fruit and instead there's questions) - Quizbowl style fruit
- Fruit, in a bowl
