If you're looking for information on how our wonderful hall is run, here is the best place to find it.

Hall Government

Floor Pi is run by two democratically elected Hall Chairs who are elected late in the spring term for a year. Hall Chairs manage hall finances, help with social events, and represent Floor Pi at EC gatherings like HouseComm.

Two Rush Chairs are also elected at this time to organize Hall Rush for the following fall.

Hall Comms are responsible for carrying out certain duties or for managing a few specific events. These comms are elected by residents. Some examples of comms are PartyComm, GameComm, and KitchenComm.

Our 2009-2010 Hall Chairs are Melissa Ko (2012) and Danny Bulmash (2012). Feel free to ask them questions on hall government or hall policy.

Hall Policies

Floor Pi may be a bit chaotic, but we have just enough rules to keep us in line. It is important that you follow the various rules on kitchen cabinets/cleaning, murals, and more.

Many of these rules are carried out by the Hall Chairs or the different comms in charge of those areas. Policies are subject to change either by government revision or majority vote.

To find out the exact letter of the law, check out the Hall Policies.

Hall Budget

We get enough money to fund our crazy hijinks and general upkeep. Each term we are given $40 per resident to spend on what we want, adding up to about $1600. There are a few general expenses that carry over from term to term, however, we are always open to suggestions on how to use our money.

Budget spending is usually determined at the Budget meeting at the beginning of each term. However, budget rules are currently under revision.

To see what is being done with Floor Pi's money, look at the Hall Budget.
