Hallcest is the act of getting into a relationship with someone on the same hall. It is generally frowned upon in East Campus, as it implies that two rooms are being allocated to a pair of people who would be willing to share a room. Additionally, the mess and drama of break-ups can put strain on hall culture.
A lot of the social downside to hallcest can be avoided when people are mature and emotionally stable. We aren't, but we indulge in it anyways.
