Luge Brothers

Luge Brothers is a series of movies (loosely) based on the lives of the Linger brothers, Andreas and Wolfgang. They are a popular series on hall, and many current and former pizens are excited to see the upcoming ninth movie.

Luge Brothers

Luge Brothers introduces us to Andreas ("Andre") and Wolfgang ("Wolf") Linger, a pair of hot-headed brothers in a friendly rivalry to win the upcoming Luge World Cup in Winterberg. Andreas and Wolfgang have a strong showing in the final race, but fail to medal. Afterwards, they realize that they have a chemistry that nobody else shares, and decide to train for next year's doubles competition in luge together.

Luge Brothers II

Luge Brothers II revisits Andreas and Wolfgang Linger, now a luge doubles team, practicing for the next year's Luge World Cup. They encounter and overcome many rivals along the way as they earn the respect of their peers and coaches.

Luge Brothers III

Luge Brothers III takes place a year after Luge Brothers II, and finds the Linger brothers training for the 2006 Olympics in luge. After a chance encounter with an fan, Felicity Loch, Andreas finds himself spending increasing amounts of time with her and not on the slopes. Andreas is torn between his commitments to his girlfriend and his brother, and with the Olympic Trials fast approaching, he has a decision to make. Andreas finally decides to pursue the sport he loves, and qualifies for the olympic team along with his brother. A bittersweet ending has Andreas confessing his decision to retire from luge to his brother as the credits roll.

Luge Brothers IV

Luge Brothers IV features Andreas and Wolfgang Linger competing against Felicity's brother, who she says is one of the greatest luge athletes of all time.

Luge Brothers V

The entirety of Luge Brothers V is spent following the Linger brothers treating Felix Loch to lunch and generally being fanboys. The movie features a lot of artistic jump and smash cuts, giving it a disjointed feel that mirrors the fact that this film is the only one without a luge race. It won 8 Oscars (including Best Picture) and 3 Tony awards for its theatrical adaptation.

Luge Brothers VI

Luge Brothers VI's plot is not well-known, and producers and cast members have doggedly avoided the topic in interviews. Nobody who has seen it has left the theater alive.

It is thought that this movie might feature Andris and Juris Sics, inspiring the title of the movie.

Luge Brothers VII

Luge Brothers VII features a rapid-fire sequence of luge races with no motivating explanation or plot. Many believe this was done in part to placate the small minority of fans who were disappointed with LBV.

Luge Brothers VIII

Luge Brothers VIII features the fastest luge speeds reached by mere mortals as the Linger brothers strive for ever-greater heights. When Andreas and Wolfgang Linger suddenly have heart attacks and perish from sheer exhilaration and bliss, it's up to the International Luge Federation to decide whether dying mid-race disqualifies contestants from finishing. The remaining 85% of the movie is devoted to intricate debate over wording quirks and dated rulings.

Luge Brothers IX

Luge Brothers IX starts right where the last movie left off. The Linger brothers come face-to-face with death in the afterlife. As is standard procedure, he challenges them to a battle for their souls, in a game of their choice. The resulting race promises to be the greatest that any being, mortal or immortal, has ever seen.
