Configuration

Debathena on Debian Lenny (i386), with debathena-login.

  • OpenAFS modules built locally with module-assistant (must be rebuilt for new kernel version).
  • Nvidia legacy drivers from Nvidia installer - installer must be run at boot for some reason (in rc.local).
  • Custom xorg.conf for S-Video out.
  • Custom ALSA configuration: sound card is device 0, integrated is device 1, USB mic is device 2.
  • Darkice stream from microphone on sound card to Icecast2 on mrbigstuff.
  • Festival configured to use integrated sound out.
  • Special mplayer config for wstyke - plays on PCM Center
  • Disabled kerneloops and NetworkManager daemons.
  • Fstab, SSH key and SMB credentials for read-only music mounts.
  • Linuxant HCF driver
  • Installed mplayer, screen, mpd, ncmpc, samba, zsnes, snes9x, vba
  • Local users: meeg, michael, wstyke


Hardware

  • Pentium 4
  • 1 GB RAM
  • Conexant HCF modem connected to 5-6749 (also answering machine and phone)
  • Audigy sound card
    • Output 1: Front (lounge receiver, CD input)
    • Output 2: Surround (not in use)
    • Output 3: Center/LFE (Center to Munroe bathroom, LFE to KL, kitchen)
    • Mic in: cheap Skype mic
    • Line in: not in use
