All right, bitches, these are the rules. They're in place because I want to make sure this wiki is worthy of the floor locker, but people are idiots. So without further ado, here's a word from your Evil Wiki Overlord:
- You do not talk about the Hall Wiki.
- You do not talk about the Hall Wiki.
- No seriously, don't talk about the fucking Hall Wiki. I don't need people really fucking with things before I'm ready for it.
- Also, it helps to introduce members gradually. That way, when something goes wrong, I just blame the last person who learned of this hallowed Intarfield.
- Don't be an ass.
- If you're a big enough ass, you're going to get banned for a bit.
- If you're a big enough ass again, you're going to get banned for a byte.
- If you're a big enough ass enough times and still want to participate in the wiki, good luck finding a new Kerberos ticket.
- Do be competent.
- Our pages should look shiny and stuff. That way, the Hall Wiki can be a Nice Thing.
- Also, don't create superfluous extra pages if the thing you're writing about either already has a page, or could be included as a reasonable subsection of an existing page.
- In general, learn how to use a wiki effectively. In particular, make use of the Talk: pages when you have questions or comments about something.
- It is tempting to jump right in to everything, but reading things first can save you some embarassment, and save us sysops some time.
- Use the damn templates. We need to preemptively moderate users that can't moderate themselves.
- Protective walls are there for our protection and yours.
- If you have a suggestion to make about a locked article, use its Talk: page to get in touch with the sysops.
Now, go find something to do.
